The big screen awards have thrown up a bigger surprise for the Pakistanis across the world — UK included. The 84th Oscar Awards saw a Pakistani director win her country’s first Oscar for short documentary film ‘Saving Face’.

Bollywood stars are descending on the UK for celebrating Diwali.

That’s right! In 2011, most of the Bollywood stars seem set to celebrate Diwali with a big bang in foreign lands, especially London.
Actors and actresses such as Shah Rukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Aamir Khan and Arjun Rampal are among the ones out of the country for work purposes.
But for Kareena, Diwali is all set to be a somber affair in London. “Though I love celebrating Diwali with friends and family, this time it will be a low key one. However, I will be accompanied by mom in London to attend the premiere of my next film. I’ll then be unveiling my wax statue there. Besides, Aamir too will there shooting for the film that we are doing together, and we have worked our dates accordingly,” says Kareena.
As Shah Rukh’s film premiere is in London, many of his friends from the industry will also be there to support him.
The friends include close pal and co-star Arjun. He is expected to be there with his family and filmmaker Karan Johar. Filmmaker turned actor, Farhan Akhtar, and his film Don 2 team, including actor Priyanka Chopra, will also be there.
